Sam - choir director (London)

My background and training is as a jazz vocalist and trumpeter - but I have always loved conducting choirs. In the last few years I have found myself working more and more with community groups leading choirs and songwriting projects.

I kept hearing about the Choir With No Name from other jazz vocalists that I knew and then the opportunity came up to direct a brand new South London Choir With No Name back in 2012. I knew this was just the thing I was looking to do. I am thrilled to now be directing the newly merged London superchoir.

I am thoroughly convinced that coming together every week, singing together and eating together is such a powerful combination for stability and a sense of wellbeing and just being looked out for - for choir members, volunteers and even choir directors!!
