Accompanist – Choir with No Name Coventry
Each choir rehearses 47 weeks of the year and is accompanied by a pianist. We play pop, rock, soul etc and you’d need to be able to read from guitar chords. You’d be working closely with the Choir Director, Joe Novelli, and also be supported by the Choir Manager, Sally Debiage.
Coventry choir meets each Wednesday evening in Coventry City Centre at 5:45pm for a cuppa. Rehearsal starts at 6.15pm and goes on until 8pm or so, when the group sit down to dinner cooked by members of the wonderful team. We finish and leave the venue at 8:45pm.
The post pays £57 per session and includes a small amount of preparation time. It would best suit someone who is keen to gain experience playing in a community setting and who would like to help enrich the lives of its members by becoming a part of our welcoming and supportive community. You will be accompanying the rehearsals beside our choir director and will enjoy a free hot meal with everyone afterwards, so will have a chance to be part of the community.
To apply for the role please send a one-sided expression of interest to steve@choirwithnoname.org outlining your past experience and sharing why you feel you would be suited to the role.
Application deadline: Tues 29th April 9am.
Auditions will take place at our rehearsal space during the evening of 7th and 14th May
