The Choir with No Name London – Choir Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative manager for our London choir involving people impacted by homelessness. You’ll be part of a supportive team at CWNN and will work closely with our choir director to deliver fun, inclusive, welcoming rehearsals and gigs throughout the year.  

This is an exciting and varied role working with our choir members and volunteers to support the safe running of weekly rehearsals, as well as delivering regular gigs and outreach workshops across London (and beyond!).  You will need to be available to attend Monday night rehearsals in Stoke Newington London and have an understanding of working with people who have experienced complex trauma. We are looking for someone with impeccable organisational skills and the ability to multitask, as well the ability to take a creative approach to delivering inclusive group activities.

Experience in volunteer and project/event management is desirable, as is a love of music and an understanding of the positive impact of singing together. 

  •  Hours: Part time (20 hours per week) 

  • Location: Weekly rehearsals in Stoke Newington and travel across London and beyond when required

  • Salary: £35,057.32 (pro rata) 

  • Annual leave: 25 days per year, pro rata, increasing 1 day per year pro rata with each year of service (to a maximum of 30 days)

The Choir with No Name London - Choir Director (Freelance)

Are you a dynamic musical leader who understands how singing builds genuine community? The Choir with No Name is seeking a passionate Choir Director to lead our London choir from January 2026. We create joyful singing communities with people experiencing homelessness and marginalisation, building safe spaces where musical excellence and human connection go hand-in-hand. 

Every Monday night, you'll lead a vibrant community through repertoire that ranges from intimate local performances to world-class venues like Cadogan Hall and St Martin in the Fields. This isn't just about conducting - you'll co-create a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where choir members take active leadership roles, develop genuine friendships, and rebuild confidence alongside their vocal skills. Working closely with the Choir Manager, you'll prepare members for 6-12 performances annually while fostering the collaborative spirit that makes our choirs special. 

We're looking for someone with mixed-ability choir experience, excellent musical and arrangement skills, and the empathy to work with people facing various vulnerabilities. Understanding of trauma-informed practice is essential, as is the ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships. 

  • Hours: Average of 6 hours per week for rehearsal and preparation time 

  • Contract: Freelance contract

  • Fees: £181 per week plus performance fees

  • Location: Weekly rehearsals in Stoke Newington and travel across London and beyond when required
