Our London choir is currenty recruiting for:

Volunteer Cooks (Lead Role)

Love cooking for people? This is a brilliant, relaxed way to share that.

We’re looking for enthusiastic cooks to help prepare a simple, hearty meal for around 50 people at the end of rehearsal. Think comforting, healthy dishes like cottage pie, simple curries, soups or jacket potatoes with salad. Nothing fancy, just good food made with care.

You’ll be supported by a small team in a friendly, working kitchen, so you’re never doing it alone.

What’s involved:

  • Planning a simple meal

  • Ordering ingredients online (we’ll guide you, no need to shop in person and it all gets delivered to the venue)

  • Leading a small team to cook and serve. You have 6pm - 8.30pm to cook.

  • Following safer food, better business guidelines (we’ll provide this)

No professional chef experience needed at all. Just confidence in cooking and a willingness to get stuck in.

Good to know:

  • We’ll support you with planning and logistics

  • All food costs are covered

  • Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 training required (we’ll help with this and it's all done online and takes about 1.5hours to complete)

It’s a really rewarding role if you enjoy cooking and bringing people together over a good meal. We're a friendly bunch too, with plenty of socials, lovely gigs at places like St Martins-in-the-field, National Theatre, Tate, Cadogan Hall and it's a great way to make new friends and make a difference in your community.

Front of House

Ideal for someone who is great with people! Our choirs support people affected by homelessness and marginalisation, and we aim to create safe, welcoming and joyful spaces. We are strenghts-based and trauma informed. As well as experience in safeguarding, this role involves first aid and fire marshall training which is provided by CWNN.

We meet weekly on Monday evenings from 6.30pm at St Pauls West Hackney, 184 Stoke Newington Road, N16 7UY.

Interested? Tell us a bit about yourself and why you’d like to join our community!
