Purple Patch Learning Disability Awareness Training
This 1 hour training was delivered in summer 2025 and is all about creative engagement when working with people with Learning Disabilities. However, it includes some general good practice around inclusion. CWNN especially chose to adopt the ‘Accessible People’ aspect of this approach, really looking within and finding was to be as welcoming, supportive and inclusive as possible for anyone is in our choir spaces.

These online videos are the baseline for your induction, and will be completed hand in hand with in-person training with your Choir Manager.

Depending on the role, there may be additional training in First Aid, Fire Marshal or Food safety and hygiene which you need to complete. We buy these in from external providers. Your Choir Manager will register you for this, and you will get an email with all the instructions for how and when to complete this.

We ask that you read the community handbook and our core policies within the first few months of starting on your journey with our team. Policies and procedures — The Choir with No Name

We offer 3-4 whole team training sessions per year, in topics which support the running of our choirs. You can access the archive of these HERE

Most training ‘expires’ after 3 years, and we would recommend refreshing it at that point. That even includes the induction!
