Sonia Chapman, Interim Choir Manager (Liverpool)

I’m Sonia, I’m the Interim Choir Manager for Liverpool, and I joined Choir with No Name in October 2025.

It’s an absolute joy to work with our incredible members, volunteers and the wider organisation, and the perfect combination of working in performance and mental health. We have an incredible choir community here in Liverpool and the members have welcomed me wholeheartedly. I’m really passionate about community engagement, inclusion and wellbeing, and Choir with No Name are a beacon of hope and proof of the positive impact of singing your heart out with friends.

I juggle multiple work roles and alongside Choir with No Name I am a socially engaged theatre producer and a psychotherapist. I have 17 years’ experience of 17 years supporting vulnerable adults and young people through working with charities, and 12 years of Producing and Stage-Managing theatre. I’m really enjoying the variety of the role as one minute I’m sharing a meal with our members and another I’m chatting to producers at prestigious Liverpool venues.
