TEDx London | Creating a Community Beyond Homelessness | Choir with No Name

What image comes to mind when you think about homelessness, or a homeless person? Someone in a sleeping bag in a doorway, or crouched on the street with a cardboard cup holding a few coins? Community builders, the Choir with No Name are here to challenge this perception with their group of singers who don’t fit that traditional image, yet have all experienced homelessness. Finding a place to belong and develop skills that help them put their lives back together through the friendship of the choir, this uplifting performance proves beyond doubt that sometimes real human connection really can conquer all. The Choir with No Name London is a choir for people who’ve experienced homelessness, run in partnership with Look Ahead. They are a diverse group, united by a lived experience of marginalisation and sing all kinds of music. The Choir with No Name believes singing makes you feel good and restores a sense of self-worth that may have been lost.
