I’ve been a supporter of the choir since their 5th birthday, having been introduced to them through a friend. Their Christmas gig has become a regular tradition for me, my family and friends.
I became a volunteer about 4 years ago, joining the then South London choir. I was immediately impressed by the inclusive approach and welcoming atmosphere. I stayed for 3 years, chatting each week to regular members and learning a lot about cooking one pot recipes for 30 people.
I’m excited to join the trustee board. For me, the choir’s beauty lies in it’s simplicity – bringing together people who’ve experienced homelessness or are socially isolated to share in the joy of singing.
