Singing in a choir should be an opportunity that’s available for everyone – for me, it’s a sort of transcendental therapy. Once you’ve sung in a choir and experienced the thrill of making a big noise with other people, you’re not going to look back! I was so excited when I first heard about CWNN. I joined the London CWNN as a music volunteer in 2016, and 3 years later became General Manager. I feel very lucky to work for an organisation I love!
Before joining CWNN I worked for the public and the charity sector in lots of different roles, and volunteered for a few different charities in my spare time. In my most recent job, I gave strategy and evaluation advice to charities and social investors.
I’m so happy to have found a place that combines my love of choral singing (which I still do lots of!) with a social mission. It’s such a pleasure to work with our amazing members and incredible volunteers. CWNN is just a joyfest….basically how I’d like the world to be.
