We are delighted to announce that on 16th May we will be joined by choirs from the City as part of a concert with Singingworks, an organisation that helps people discover the power of performing together whilst having fun at work.
We'll be joined by 150 singers from leading law and banking firms Farrers, Nomura, Norton Rose, Olswang and SJ Berwin and Sisters of soul a women’s business networking group.
Heather Phillips CEO of Singing works is excited by the number of her clients enthusiastic about taking part in the concert: "Our aim is to raise money to help Marie continue to run The Choir with No Name in London and help more homeless people find a sense of purpose and belonging.
I love the fact that this concert is bringing together people from the fringes of society with those at the centre of the establishment to perform together as ‘The choir With No Name’ – standing shoulder to shoulder, making music and raising money for something they all believe in. The choir is proof that Singing is not hierarchical and is totally inclusive.
Our voices are not limited by age, fitness, intelligence, wealth or status. In a group, lots of ordinary voices work together to make something extraordinary. That feels great. It connects us to ourselves, to each other and the place we’re in."
The concert will be at Gibson Hall, 13 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 3BA, on Monday 16th May at 7.30pm. For more information contact Marie at marie@choirwithnoname.org or 07941 260874. Tickets may still be available on the door.
