Hear an interview with Richard T:I’m from Preston. I support Preston North End.
Seven or eight years ago, I came down. I have three children – I miss them. I don’t see much of them. We split up, and they went with their mother, and over the years we’ve lost contact. I’d like to get back in touch again.
I joined the choir about two and a half years ago. I was on the street, homeless, and got into a hostel, where I heard about the choir – and I joined. I’ve enjoyed it ever since.
I was singing as well – karaoke. I sang all sorts – New York, New York, Rhinestone Cowboy… I’m still living in a hostel, but hope to get a flat soon. I did a bit of busking, playing the guitar for about three or four years.
I enjoy the togetherness. We harmonise well. I think it’s good. Marie’s very nice – very homely.
I was there when we played the same gig as Coldplay. That was good. I don’t know how many thousand there were there – a good few thousand. It felt alright. It felt great.
You get a buzz out of it. Come along and join.
